After checking out of our hotel in Grand Junction we headed out for a ride at the 18 road trails. I selected a route that took us up the mountain 2 times and allowed for a good sampling of the trails. This was probably our least favorite area in Fruita that we rode. It was still very fun and worth doing.
The soil here was different and not as sandy. It had ruts and holes from horses in some areas.
After finishing we drove 1.5 hours to Moab and had a late lunch.
Had a little pizza and beer in downtown Moab. It was in the 90's when we arrived in the afternoon and quickly went to 103. So we headed back to the pool to cool off. Marriott has 2 connecting properties sharing 3 pools and hot tubs with a lot of water features.
